Drink Wholesome is the best protein powder for sensitive stomachs because it’s additive, dairy, and gluten-free. It’s also made from minimally-processed protein sources like egg whites and almonds. Other protein powders are made from ultra-processed protein concentrates and isolates, which look nothing like real food.

Drink Wholesome makes gut-friendly Protein Powders and Meal Replacement Powders. Protein powder is high in protein and low in everything else, whereas meal replacement powder contains fats, carbs, fiber, and protein because it’s intended to replace the nutritional value of a balanced meal.

We make three types of stomach-friendly Protein Powder: Collagen Protein Powder, Egg White Protein Powder, and Vegan Almond Protein Powder. As long as you get protein from a variety of sources, any type of protein can help you meet your total daily protein needs. In other words, for someone with a balanced diet, there is no advantage to consuming one type of protein over another. Order Samples to see which type you like the most.

Our monk fruit does NOT contain erythritol. We use pure monk fruit.

Our Collagen and Egg White Protein Powders are low FODMAP.

Some of our Protein Powders contain a small amount of caffeine per serving (less than 20 mg) from naturally-caffeinated ingredients like coffee. Most people don’t notice the effects.

We’re a small business and can’t afford to be 100% organic at this time. We use organic ingredients whenever we can, however, which is a decision based on ingredient availability and pricing.

No, the almonds aren’t blanched. We use wholes almonds.

Yes, the egg whites are pasteurized under the supervision of the USDA. They’re also hormone and antibiotic-free.

We use bovine collagen (Types I & III) peptides, which are very small pieces of cowhide from pasture-raised cows.

Yes, the collagen is grass-fed. It’s also hormone and antibiotic-free.

Our products are third-party tested for gluten. We publish all test results on the Third-Party Test Results page. Test results for a particular product can also be found on that product’s page. Note that our facility is not certified gluten-free, so we can’t guarantee that our products are safe for someone with a serious gluten allergy.

Drink Wholesome isn’t NSF Certified for Sport. The NSF program tests products for banned substances like stimulants, narcotics, and steroids. Because our products are made from minimally-processed, whole-food ingredients, the risk of contamination with banned substances is negligible. Note that we do hire a third-party lab to test for gluten, heavy metals, and pesticides. We publish all test results on the Third-Party Test Results page.

Our Protein Powders and Meal Replacement Powders can be mixed with milk or water. We recommend milk because it tastes better, but you can use water if that’s what you prefer.

Our products are made in Plymouth, Massachusetts in a GMP-Certified facility inspected by the FDA, USDA, and Massachusetts Board of Health.

No, our facility is NOT nut-free. We can’t guarantee that our products are safe for someone with a serious nut allergy.

We don’t include scoops to reduce plastic waste. We have many repeat customers, so including a scoop with every order would be wasteful.
