Yes, the eggs are pasteurized.

Are the eggs cage-free?

No, the eggs are not cage-free. There are 3 types of eggs: conventional cage, cage-free, and pasture-raised. Unfortunately, there are no commercial suppliers of pasture-raised dried egg whites in the United States. We could purchase cage-free dried egg whites, but the best research available shows that raising cage-free chickens is actually worse for food safety and quality, animal welfare, and worker health and safety than raising conventional chickens. We understand that this may contradict what you have heard about cage-free vs conventional chickens, so we encourage you to do your own research.
