What makes drink wholesome gut-friendly?
Unlike 99% of protein supplements, my clean protein powders and meal replacements are additive-free, dairy-free, and made with real foods, not protein isolates. For this reason, they are perfect for people with gut issues and sensitive stomachs, as well as for people looking to boost their protein intake without the processing and added junk.
It is additive-free.
Although not necessarily bad for you in small quantities, food additives add up if you drink a protein shake every day, and can cause side effects like bloating, constipation, diarrhea, gas, and stomach pain. In the long term, food additives can also disrupt regulatory pathways in the intestine, triggering the development of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and other systemic inflammatory disorders.
It is dairy-free.
Dairy-based proteins like whey, which are byproducts of cheese and yogurt production, are known to cause digestive issues, especially for people with lactose intolerance and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
It is made with real foods.
Most protein powders, on the other hand, are made with protein isolates, foods stripped of everything but the protein. Processed ingredients like these can alter the composition of your gut microbiome (the collection of organisms that live in your gut).
What makes drink wholesome better tasting?
Unlike 99% of protein supplements, my simple protein powders and meal replacements are made with real foods, not protein isolates. Protein isolates, because they have been stripped of everything but the protein, are the reason why most protein shakes and meal replacements have a chalky aftertaste.
My healthy protein powders and meal replacements are also sweetened with monk fruit, a melon-like fruit native to Southeast Asia. Monk fruit sweetener is made by removing the seeds and skin, crushing the fruit, and collecting the juice, which is dried into a concentrated powder. Unlike artificial sweeteners and stevia, it is sweet like sugar.
