Frequently asked questions
What are collagen protein powders?
Collagen protein powders are a convenient source of dietary protein.
Our minimally-processed Collagen Protein Powders are made from bovine collagen peptides (Type I & III), which are tiny pieces of cowhide.
The cows are grass-fed, pasture-raised, and free from antibiotics and hormones.
Collagen vs egg white vs almond protein?
You might have noticed we make three types of protein powder for sensitive stomachs: Collagen Protein Powder, Egg White Protein Powder, and Vegan Almond Protein Powder
The reason we offer these three types is to accommodate the needs and preferences of as many customers as possible.
As long as you eat a balanced diet, any of these Protein Powders can help you achieve your wellness goals.
Just pick the type that best suits your personal needs and/or preferences.
Are collagen protein powders easy to digest?
Because they’re already broken down, collagen peptides are easily digested.
Our customers thus experience few to no digestive issues with our collagen protein powders.
Those of you with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) will also be happy to learn collagen peptides are low FODMAP.
FODMAPs are a type of carbohydrate known to cause symptoms like bloating and diarrhea for people with IBS.
Are collagen protein powders good for you?
Adding collagen powders to your diet is a great way to boost your protein intake.
Unlike other animal proteins, collagen isn’t a complete protein, meaning it doesn’t contain all the amino acids the body needs, but can’t produce on its own.
This could be considered a drawback, but only for someone who doesn’t eat a balanced diet.
If you’re getting your protein from a variety of sources, it doesn’t matter if a particular source of protein is complete.
A balanced diet will give you all of the amino acids you need to achieve your wellness goals.
Do your collagen protein powders taste good?
Collagen protein powders are among the best tasting protein powders.
Unlike other types of protein powder, they’re not chalky or gritty, making them a great addition to smoothies and other recipes.
Unflavored collagen protein powder can also be added to hot drinks like coffee without changing the taste or texture.
