The Best Greek Yogurt Protein Powder

Wondering how to mix protein powder in Greek yogurt? You have come to the right place. We use drink wholesome protein powder, made with simple, real food ingredients.

Why drink wholesome?

This recipe was made with drink wholesome peanut butter protein powder. It is perfect for adding to recipes. Most protein powders are not because they are made with protein concentrates and isolates, foods stripped of everything but the protein.

Unlike real foods, protein concentrates and isolates are missing the nutrients that make food taste good. In other words, they turn delicious recipes into hockey pucks. With enough trial and error, you can make these protein powders work, but how much chalky yogurt are you willing to make?

Another reason why drink wholesome is perfect for baking is that it is sweetened with maple sugar (or monk fruit). Our maple sugar comes from Vermont maple trees and makes for a delicious, low glycemic index addition to our product line.

Monk fruit, also known as lo han guo, is a small, melon-like round fruit native to Southeast Asia. Monk fruit sweetener is made by removing the seeds and skin, crushing the fruit, and collecting the juice, which is then dried into a powder.

Nearly every other protein powder company uses artificial sweeteners, sugar alcohols, or stevia, all of which have a bitter aftertaste. Sweeteners such as these trigger bitter taste receptors, which is especially noticeable when protein powder is incorporated into recipes. Order samples to taste the difference real sugar makes.

Greek Yogurt With Protein Powder

– 2 cups Greek yogurt

– ½ cup drink wholesome vanilla protein powder or peanut butter protein powder

– toppings of choice

Giving Greek yogurt a protein boost could not be easier. In a medium bowl, mix the Greek yogurt until smooth. Slowly add the protein powder, mixing constantly to avoid clumping. Serve immediately, and top with fruit or granola.

High Protein Frozen Greek Yogurt

-2 cups Greek yogurt

-½ cup drink wholesome chocolate protein powder

-½ cup almond milk

-toppings of choice

Mix the Greek yogurt, protein powder, and almond milk thoroughly. I recommend using a blender, although a whisk and some elbow grease will work just fine. Place the mixture in a freezer (or ice cream machine if you have one). If using a freezer, fold the mixture gently with a spatula every 30 minutes. Repeat this for at least two hours. When you are hungry, remove the frozen yogurt from the freezer for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Can I make this recipe vegan?

If you avoid animal products, do not despair. Simply use our vegan vanilla protein powder. The protein comes from almonds and is vegan friendly! You’ll also need to switch out your yogurt. Go for something like Culina coconut yogurt or a cashew milk yogurt.

What are some other healthy toppings or add in ideas?

In addition to berries or a low-sugar granola, you can also add in nut butter, nuts, seeds or dried fruit.

Can you make these this protein powder Greek yogurt with other flavors of protein powder?

This recipe makes vanilla or peanut butter protein Greek yogurt, which are my favorite. You can use other flavors of protein powder if you like, though!  While this recipe is no bake, check out some of our other cookies that do require baking. For example, we have recipes for chocolate chip protein powder cookies and vegan peanut butter chocolate chip cookies.
