Why make protein powder cheesecake?

Are you looking for a delicious dessert option that will help you boost your protein intake? Look no further! This protein powder cheesecake recipe is a healthy and nutritious treat for those with a sweet tooth. High in protein and low in sugar, it is a great way to satisfy your cravings while also supporting your wellness goals.

Adding protein powder to cheesecake can increase its nutritional value while still maintaining its delicious taste. In other words, by incorporating protein powder into your cheesecake recipe, you can increase the overall protein content of your dessert, and make it a more balanced snack. This will help keep you feeling full for longer, which is helpful if you are trying to lose weight or maintain a healthy weight. Protein is essential for repairing and building muscle tissue, so high protein cheesecake can help support your fitness goals.

Another benefit of adding protein powder to your cheesecake recipe is that it can improve the texture and consistency of your dessert. Protein powder can help bind ingredients together and create a smoother, creamier texture. Plus, if you use the right protein powder, no one will know that it is there!

How do I make protein powder cheesecake?

Making protein powder cheesecake is easy. It requires no cooking skills and or fancy equipment, and can be whipped up in no time at all. Simply mix the protein powder into the cheesecake batter or crust before baking. Depending on the type of protein powder you use, you may have to adjust ratios, but once you have found the right protein powder, this recipe is foolproof.

Why drink wholesome?

This recipe was made with drink wholesome – the only protein powder made with 100% real foods. Given its simple ingredient list, it makes delicious desserts. Most protein powders, on the other hand, do not make good desserts because they are made with protein isolates. Isolates, which are listed on the ingredient list as “pea protein” and “whey protein” as opposed to “peas” and “whey,” are foods stripped of everything but the protein. Unlike real foods, they are missing the nutrients that make food taste good. It follows that protein isolates taste like chalk and can turn a fluffy cheesecake into a hockey puck. Avoid them at all costs.

Another reason why drink wholesome is perfect for cheesecake is that it is sweetened with monk fruit. Monk fruit, also known as lo han guo, is a small, melon-like round fruit native to Southeast Asia. It is turned into a sweetener by removing the seeds and skin, crushing the fruit, and collecting the juice, which is then dried into a powder. Monk fruit sweetener is sweet like sugar, unlike the artificial sweeteners and stevias used to sweeten most protein powders. Artificial sweeteners and stevia have an awful bitter aftertaste because they activate bitter taste receptors in addition to sweet taste receptors. They may be sugar-free, but they will ruin your cheesecake. Now without further ado, here is my favorite high protein cheesecake recipe.

The Best Protein Powder Cheesecake Recipe

Ingredients:

Crust:

-1 cup Graham cracker crumbs (about 8 Graham crackers)

-1/4 cup drink wholesome vanilla protein powder

-4 tablespoons unsalted butter

-2 tbsp granulated sugar

Filling:

-8 oz cream cheese

-2/3 cup sour cream

-2/3 cup heavy cream

-1/2 cup drink wholesome vanilla protein powder

-2 tbsp granulated sugar

-4 eggs

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. In a large food processor pulse the Graham crackers, protein powder, butter until a coarse dough forms. Press the dough into the bottom of a greased 8-inch springform pan to form a crust, and bake it for 8 minutes. Then reduce the oven temperature to 275 degrees Fahrenheit. While the crust is baking, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, heavy cream, protein powder, and sugar in the food processor. On medium speed, add the eggs one at a time, beating after each addition until just blended. After the final egg is incorporated into the batter, stop mixing. Using a spatula, pour the mixture over the crust. Bake the cake for 90 minutes, or until the center no longer jiggles when the pan is lightly shaken. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

“Really enjoy this protein powder. I like that it doesn’t have a chalky artificial taste, and I like that it’s not overly sweet.” – Mary

How will adding protein powder affect the texture of my cheesecake?

Some protein powders absorb more moisture than others, and can make cheesecake dense or dry. Follow my recipe to achieve a creamy texture, similar to that of a traditional cheesecake.

What toppings can I add to my protein powder cheesecake?

Many different toppings can be added to protein powder cheesecake for an extra burst of flavor. Here are a few of my favorites: fresh fruit (strawberries and peaches are my go-tos), nut butter, and melted chocolate.

Can I freeze protein powder cheesecake?

Yes, you can freeze protein powder cheesecake for up to 3 months. To freeze cheesecake, first make sure that it is completely cool. Then, place it in an airtight container or a resealable plastic bag. Simply remove it from the freezer and let it sit at room temperature for an hour before serving.
