Looking for the best vanilla protein powder?

Drink Wholesome makes the best vanilla protein powder with 100% real foods, foods close to nature. Food additives and protein isolates are NOT real foods.

Most protein powders contain food additives. Although food additives are not necessarily bad for you in small quantities, they can add up quickly, especially if you drink a protein shake every day. At higher quantities, food additives can cause nasty side effects.

For instance, because highly processed food additives look nothing like real foods, we have trouble digesting them. As a result, the trillions of bacteria in our guts have more time to eat and more time to release gas. This gas can cause bloating and stomach pain.

Not sure what to look for? Here is a list of the most common additives in protein powder:

acacia gum, acesulfame potassium, artificial flavors, aspartame, carrageenan, cellulose gum, dextrin, dextrose, erythritol, guar gum, gum arabic, inulin, locust bean gum, “natural” flavors, maltodextrin, rice syrup solids, soy lecithin, silica, sucralose, sunflower lecithin, xanthan gum, xylitol

Most protein powders also contain protein isolates, foods stripped of everything but the protein. Unlike real foods, protein isolates are missing the healthy fats, complex carbohydrates, and other nutrients that make food taste good. They have a chalky aftertaste.

Protein isolates are listed on the ingredient list as “whey protein,” “pea protein,” and “soy protein,” as opposed to “milk,” “peas,” and “soybeans.”

Sick of protein powders that upset your stomach and taste like chalk? Switch to Drink Wholesome. It is better for you and better tasting. Our happy customers include athletes of all ages, pregnant and breastfeeding mothers, people with lactose intolerance, and people with sensitive stomachs.

Why egg whites?

Egg whites, as a source of protein, have a lot going for them. The bioavailability of the protein in eggs is second only to that of whey protein. Bioavailability is a measurement of how efficiently your body uses a specific type of dietary protein. In essence, the higher its bioavailability, the more efficiently a protein source is used by the body and the more bang you get for your nutritional buck! Eggs are also a complete source of essential branched-chain amino acids, which means that they contain all of the amino acids that the body needs, but cannot produce on its own. This makes eggs one of the best ways to boost your protein intake.

Product Information – 14 servings, 20 grams of protein per serving. Made by hand in Plymouth, Massachusetts.

  1. Beverly Brown

Finally, a protein shake that actually tastes good! It mixes well and all the ingredients are good for you. I’m using the vanilla and I often add other ingredients: banana, peanut butter, cocoa, fruit jam, etc. You guys are doing a great job – thank you!!!

  2. Kimberly Valpey

Delicious and easy to prepare. I sometimes add banana, molasses, or peanut butter. It gets me ready for the day!

  3. Jessica Kowalski

The best vanilla protein powder I have ever had. It tastes like a vanilla milkshake. I love it and the ingredients! I wish it came in a bigger bag!

  4. David Figueroa-Ortiz

It takes like smooth vanilla milk! No after taste; no chalkiness; just pure milk. It mixes easily without clumping. I use it in smoothies and, my new favorite snack: I put a serving of the powder into Greek yogurt, add a little milk or water, and mix it up for a flavorful and super high protein treat.

  5. Arnaldo Colon

So far great! Personally I have always been ok with eggs and I am tolerating the product without issue. I have a really sensitive stomach and have been bouncing between mostly vegan varieties of post workout protein supplements. Please fix the sample, it’s confusing. It’s a partial serving meant for tasting, but that’s not clear.

  6. Emily Mcclelland

I can’t have most protein powders and this is the cleanest out there. Tastes great too.

  7. Susan McKevitt

Thanks for including the scoop, it makes it much easier to measure a serving. I can’t wait to get my grandsons onto this. They may go for a different flavor but hey, all good. Thanks for being so accommodating to my needs. I love your service…and the product!
